What a difference four days makes

Early last week Vivian really wasn't pulling up at all. She was leaning on her toys and pushing herself up so her legs were straight but she was still bent over at the waist. When I picked her up from daycare on Thursday she had not only pulled herself up on the couch but she was trying to let go of it and stand on her own! Now she is a pulling up fiend. She can pull up on almost anything. This afternoon she used my skirt to pull herself up and make me pick her up.

Here's a picture from last week.

And this was from yesterday. She pulled up all on her own! She also has a cold which explains the red nose and is teething which explains the excess drool. Happily I think the tooth finally broke through. Unhappily I think she has another one that is getting ready to cause some problems.

Pinkalicious

I love this little romper! I think rompers are the cutest little outfits for summer. Poor Vivian has a cold. Happily she's a trooper and is only waking up once a night instead of all night long. She doesn't want to go back to sleep alone after that one wake up but she's doing much better than with her last cold. I've been taking her to the grocery store with me on Sundays to get her out of the house because I'm sure she gets bored being inside all weekend. She is such a hit! All the workers love to say hi to her. But she's too busy looking at everyone to smile for them. She's such an observant baby.

8 months (inside)

And now the inside pictures. I had to keep her from eating the card. You'd think I never feed the child!

8 months (outside)

She's eight months! Vivian is making so many big changes. She is crawling all over the place. She can now follow me wherever I go in the living room and will crawl to me whenever I bend down and motion for her. However, she is also better at letting me know when she wants me to pick her up and becomes annoyed when I won't. She has three teeth! A vampire one on top and two middles on the bottom. We've started cleaning them every night. Right now we use these special cloths but hopefully that will ease her into a toothbrush. She's also really close to standing up on her own. She is constantly pushing up on her hands and working on her balance.

Today was the first time she has been in the grass. She didn't like it very much so I couldn't get any smiling pictures. But her outfit is so cute I have lots of pictures anyway. This is going to be a two part post - one of outside pictures, one of inside.

Dancing shoes

The Chucks finally fit! She can't stop looking at them and almost toppled over several times admiring them.

A (Sun)Day in the life of Vivian

Now that Vivian is getting older it's much easier to do things with her other than eat and sleep. So, here's what a typical Sunday is like...

She goes to the grocery store with her mommy. Of course everyone says how cute she is. And how much they love her shoes.

She still naps several times a day. We are still working on getting her to nap longer than 30 minutes at a time.

She gets a bath.

And she has at least one meltdown. Usually after several naps that just aren't long enough to make her feel refreshed.
