Two year checkup

Vivian has grown so much in the last six months! She is now 30 pounds which puts her in the 90% and 36 inches tall (3 feet) which puts her in the 95% for height. So she is perfectly proportional. The doctor said she is definitely going to be a tall girl. The kicker is, that means she has grown 4.5 inches in six months!! Victor and I knew she'd had a growth spurt recently but I didn't realize it was quite so much. 

The doctor was very happily with her development as well. She was impressed Vivian know most her colors, shapes, and the alphabet minus I, X, W, and Z. The only thing she struggles with is numbers but that is coming along well. Vivian has definitely had a word explosion in the last six months. To celebrate being such a big girl she even pee peed in the potty of her own accord!! I think mostly is was to use toilet paper but whatever works.

She was so funny at the doctor office. Whenever she had to take her clothes off she kicked and screamed and threw an ugly tantrum the entire time she was in just her diaper. The doctor tried to appease her by letting her wear a skirt but that was not enough for this spit fire. As soon as she was able to get dressed Vivian was immediately happy and talking to the doctor. Vivian loves to ask for medicine and the doctor so she was in heaven with this visit. She even got a Bubble Guppies sticker!

Now for the customary day of photos. We got ice cream after her appointment.

Sleep!

We moved Vivian to a queen bed yesterday. A week ago we converted her crib to a toddler bed. The problem is that the small sleeping area is just too small. She has so many animals and blankets there wasn't much room for her. She kept waking up almost falling off the bed. So, we took apart the crib and put our spare queen on the floor. I think it's a little too big and she's overwhelmed by the extra space. Hopefully she gets up to it quickly. She had fun putting every single animal and blanket she could find into her bed. 

The toddler bed picture is actually taken in daylight. She'd had a very late night and I could not wake her up! The one on the right is blurry because I had to sneak in and use a flash. Happily it didn't wake her up. She looks so little!

Someone went shopping

By someone, I mean me. And by went shopping I mean raided the under $5 bin at Target.

I finally got around to organizing all of her dress up clothes. They had been smushed into a cabinet. Now hopefully they will have a longer life. It looks like she has a ton. Most of them are either handmedowns from friends or presents.
