Sick Day

Friday Vivian said she was too sick to go to school. She has a nasty cough and her throat hurt. She's fine though, just a cold with a nasty cough, according to the doctor.

Her new thing is to make anything tie dye. Pancakes, waffles, cakes. We made pancake muffins tie dyed on Friday and they turned out well! I was skeptical about them but they are actually pretty easy and tasty.

Then we played Rapunzel. I was either Mother Gothel or Flynn Ryder, both of which required I walk up and down the stairs repeatedly while she threw down her hair.

She's also newly obsessed with play-dough. All. The. Time.

And mani pedis to finish the day.

Pumpkin Patch

Going through the corn maze

Some very tall corn

Taking a break for apple cider donuts

Pumpkin picking time

Hay ride back to the farm

She wanted the smallest possible green pumpkin. They didn't even charge us for it which is nice because I'm fairly certain it won't last to halloween.

Feeding the goat, obviously.

Checking out a saddle.

Randoms

Ballet is back! She has a different teacher this year and says she doesn't like her, but I don't know if that's real, or just because she generally doesn't like change. We will give it a  few weeks.

Reading Beauty

Vivian likes to read to herself while she's falling asleep. She's trying so hard to learn to read! I can't help taking pictures of her asleep with her books. So's so adorable.

4 year checkup

Vivian grew three inches today and a perfectly proportionate about of weight. She is now 41 inches tall!

Halloween!

Vivian's costume arrived! She is so excited. I'm pretty sure no one will know who she is supposed to be but Vivian is so cool she won't even care. She also has a hot pink wig on it's way. I'm still figuring out what shirt she will wear underneath. I'll probably just let her pick one that day.

So she is Pinkie Pie Equestria Girl. My Little Pony has taken directions from Disney on how to get more of a following and created pony-people. They are kind of human, but have magic in them from when Twilight Sparkle came into their world and they turn into weird pony-people amalgams when the magic of friendship comes out.

Pony ears

The skirt is really long. She said she wanted it down to her ankles so we compromised. I measured her favorite skirt and had it made to that length. She's not a shortie skirt kind of girl. The skirt is a little big but a coworker said she could sew little pin tucks into it to help it stay up. I'm going to cut the boots shorter so they fit cleaner.
