Pumpkin Patch

I'm front loading my posts this week. Usually I space them out but I'm excited about this post so don't yell at me if I don't post anything between now and this weekend's halloween post.

Yesterday we went to a pumpkin patch. We assumed Vivian would love running through the pumpkins and picking out big ones. We were wrong. She liked everything leading up to the pumpkin patch (pre picked pumpkins, animals, pony rides) she hated the tractor ride to the pumpkin patch. Then she didn't want to look for pumpkins and only wanted to be carried by me. The only way we could get her to walk was my singing an adventure song I made up while we were walking.

Saturday Randoms

Here are some random pictures I took yesterday. Saturdays are my wake up days with Vivian. We usually make breakfast together. Right now she loves blueberry pancakes. Mostly she likes putting in the berries.

Halloween Prep

We tested out Vivian's costume today. Or at least we tried to. She wouldn't wear her Belle dress. I'm really hoping she will wear it the day of or I'm going to be disappointed. But regardless she loves her cape and ghost bag. Victor and I pretended to be houses and had her practice saying trick or treat to get a treat (one small bag of M&Ms, one bag of gummies, and small boxes of raisins.) She seemed to get the hang of it. But she wouldn't go to the next house until she ate her whole treat. It's going to be a long night on Thursday!

Randoms

The other night Vivian didn't want to go to sleep so she played around in her room. I watch her on the monitor most of the time until she falls asleep. Some how I missed her get up, get in her dresser, pull out and put on a skirt. Then she fell asleep. Goober

Then one morning I was getting ready and she was just too quiet. So I went looking for her and found her chilling on the spare bed. She'd stolen "her" iPad and was watching Bubble Guppies halloween special. She LOVES ghosts, spooky things, witches, and pumpkins.

Then another morning she decided to get ready with me.

Weekend in Carthage

Vivian spent last weekend in Carthage with my parents. She got to eat brats on the square, see the parade, and hang out with Charlie. She loves Charlie. She's still talking about him.

Coloring

Winter Coat #1

Vivian has two winter coats this year. One Northface fleece that's a size too big so hopefully she can wear it next year too. It's mostly for really cold and playing outside. Then Target was having a good sale on Monday so I found this super fantastically girly awesome coat that I really really want in mommy size.

Things I love about this coat: 1) it is sparkly, 2) it has a subtle bow in the back, 3) it has gold lining, 4) it has gold sparkly buttons 5) for some reason it reminds me of the Kiera Knightly P&P when she walks through the moors thinking of Mr. Darcy wearing a man's coat (though, whose coat is that? I assume it is her dad's and the hussy isn't torturing poor Mr. Darcy walking around in some other man's coat. But why doesn't she just wear her own coat?) Either way, the moral of the story is Vivian looks like Kiera in her new coat.

Why does Mr. Darcy brood so much!? Why can't he just tell me what he's thinking?

He just said I bewitch him, body and soul. It's all cool now.

I can't stop watching this video. I love it so much!! Just ignore the clothes laying on the floor. She's such a little sass.

First Ever Cakepop

Castle

Vivian loves building with blocks these days. Both regular blocks and duplox. But she only has about ten duplox block (Christmas hint) so she mostly sticks with her regular blocks. This weekend she built a "castle" that her farm animals lived in. We might have an architect on our hands people!

I'm in Trouble

Caitlin gently reminded me today that she has not seen a new picture of her niece in six days. I had them, I just kept forgetting to post them. 

Vivian picked out her own outfit. She loves this watergun! Anytime she finds it she shoots me even in 60 degree weather. I just refuse to refill it and pretend she's getting me wet.

Haircut #2

Vivian's hair grows slooowly. Her last cut was almost a year ago. We decided it was time to get her a little trim again. She initiated when she saw an episode of Dora when Boots had to get his hair cut. Since then she has been asking to get hers cut. Honestly I was nervous she would get in the chair and freak it but she was so good!! She didn't like the blow dryers and she side-eyed the woman next to her getting highlights but generally she was very well behaved. She asked to get her hair colored blue and mine pink so I'm going to try and find some temporary hair mascara (do they still make that) in the halloween aisle and we will color strips of our hair.
