Cuteness

I just think this one is cute. Big tummy cuteness

Good morning Starshine

One of the funniest things to do these days is watch Vivian's stretching regimen whenever she wakes up from a nap. First she goes through several minutes of just opening and closing her eyes deciding whether or not she wants to wake up. Then she starts her stretches.

First she does one arm stretches.

Then she takes a minute to think deeply about what she is going to do for the rest of her day

Then more deep stretches combined with some yawns

Then a one-two punch to start the afternoon

8 weeks

This week we are rocking the t-shirt and diaper look. Mostly just because I think it is cute and it's getting too cold to do it much longer. I love these t-shirts because they button instead of going over her head. No crying while getting her dressed! Today while we were doing tummy time she rolled over several more times. Unfortunately, she uses her new found powers to get out of tummy time. It's actually pretty funny... so stubborn for someone so young! I would just roll her back over and I guess she's building up her neck muscles while rolling over but this is a bad start in the mom v. daughter fights to come!

Trying to get a smile. I'm always a second too slow.

Topple over!

Playtime

Just pictures I think are cute.

Well hello Mr. Cow. How are you today?

Rollin' rollin' rollin'

Little V rolled over twice today! The first time I was able to get some pictures. She rolled really slowly and once she was on her back from her tummy she just chilled. The second time she rolled over very quickly and scared herself so she stated to cry. But, crying aside it was a very exciting morning! This is what the rolling looks like:

It started off with tummy time. She's been doing fairly well lifting up her head and sometimes her shoulders. It took awhile though... for a long time she hated being laid on her tummy (and her back so playtime is recent as well.) Today she decided to keep her head on the floor and waive her butt in the air.

Then she shoved her face into the ground and raised up her legs to prepare for rolling.

This picture is out of order. Starting to raise her legs.

Then she chilled for awhile on her side. Not quite sure what she was looking at right now.

I didn't get a picture on her post-roll but it looked something like this.

7 weeks

This week's outfit channels residents of a retirement home in Florida. Nobody rocks waist high pink pants like them... and now Vivian.

photo shoot

My mom brought up some of my old baby clothes for Vivian. One was this little sailor romper. I think Vivian is much skinnier than I must have been!! We went for a theme and took the shoot outside. She really loved looking around, unfortunately that means she didn't look at the camera very much!

Not sure how I feel about this mom...

You know how I feel about red. My colors are blush and bashful.

That squirrel is looking at me...

Where is that bird going?

Enough!

Photo shoot

I'm trying to get better at taking photos of wiggling babies. It's tricky to get her while she is laying still and looking at the camera. So, today we had a photo shoot to play with the camera. Unfortunately, she hates having anything on her head. So, this was maybe not the best idea for a practice outfit.

What is this thing on my head, mom?

No, really, what the heck is on my head?

GET IT OFF!
I will cut you

6 weeks

Vivian has started having more awake time lately. It's nice to finally see what her eyes look like! Mostly we just walk around outside but we are starting to try out different toys. Mostly she just looks at them and then ignores me.
