Mini-skirt

Ok, the child definitely had a growth spurt. All her 12-18 skirts and dresses are super short! Especially over her booty. The kid has a butt on her. But, she's going to keep wearing them because they are new and I'm getting use out of them! :)

Mildly Hitler-youth but really she just wants me to help her down the stairs... promise!
It's really funny - if she even sees a bump she thinks she needs help walking over it.

New camera!

My new camera came in!! Victor thinks I'm nuts but I'm pretty certain these pictures are much more crisp than the old one. And it's definitely much faster so you can actually see her face again. Woot! The directions booklet wasn't very helpful so I need to look up all the different things I can do with it online. 

She is such a goon. She kept putting this bucket on her head for about five minutes. I would laugh then she'd take it off, look at me, then put it on her head again.

This wasn't with my new camera... I just thought it was cute. That's her new smile. And you can see how much better the first three pictures are!!

Well, I had a really cute photo shoot planned to show off this dress I had made that I'm so excited about. Unfortunately, Vivian decided to be a super messy eater and get stains all over her dress. Instead, we have a casual picture time.

Just chilling, having her night cap of milk and a graham cracker pondering what she will do tomorrow.

Poppy Pants!

I love these little pants. They were on clearance at Nordstrom - Beneton - and they are such a great material. Just a light cotton. I would totally wear them. The only problem is Vivian's booty makes it hard to pull the pants up (they don't have an elastic waist band) but then they are loose around the waist so they become droopy after awhile.

More outside pictures. I think most of the pictures until winter will be outside because she just loves it so much. She finds lots of little treasures and explores quite a bit. She carried around a sweet gum ball for an hour. Now she hunts walnuts.

I love this little outfit. It's one of the size up outfits I bought so it's more like a dress than a tunic but whatever... it will last that much longer!

This face makes me laugh. She couldn't decide if she wanted to smile or fuss and this is the result.

I didn't realize how tiny she still is! This is my shirt that goes slightly past my hips. It looks like a snuggy on her!

I really hate trying to think of post titles. I try to think of something witty but nothing comes to mind so I just end up picking a one-word title having something to do with he outfit du jour. 

This is a cute transitional outfit for the fall. With matching leggings. I'm planning on lots of leggings for the fall/winter. Better than tights but don't have to deal with jeans.

I also really love these up close pictures when she tries to steal my camera. Now that the weather isn't so hot out we've been going outside while dinner cooks. It's a fun way to spend 30 minutes. She's such a little stinker.

There's no way she's a short as she measured at her 1 year appointment. I think she must have been laying crooked. This dress is much shorter than it was in the spring when I bought it. And if she was at the bottom of the size range then it would not be so short. She's a goon.

Alligators

Vivian has made some big updates this week! She has started walking all by herself voluntarily. Before she would walk between Victor and I  but that was about it. Now she will walk between rooms and to find Inky and to try and eat the cat food. She is so proud of herself!!

She has also learned how to take bites of whole things. I know this sounds like no big deal but it's so nice to be able to hand her a cheese stick or slice of something and know she can eat bits of it without shoving the whole thing into her mouth. So much nicer.

Poor little sick baby. She has another cold. This is an especially bad one - I've been sleeping with her in the recliner most of this week just to let her sleep at an angle to decongest. Normally this would be bad enough but I have a cold as well so it's been rough!

I know this isn't the best background but I think it's adorable that she has started sitting cross-legged.
