We pulled out the high chair for Ben's visit and Vivian decided she was a baby and needed it sit in it. She didn't like it very much!

Play date part 2

After decorating the cookies the girls put on a Frozen skit for us! It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. Marin was the narrator, Vivian was Anna, and Leah was Elsa. Marin was a fantastic narrator and even performed some musical numbers for us. Vivian mostly sat and watched the other two girls in fascination. 

Poor Elsa stuck in her room. The happiest little Elsa I've seen.

I know it has been awhile since I posted so here are some quick photos I took today. 

Vivian dresses herself as a princess complete with a headband tiara this morning.

Miss Kim sent me this photo. Vivian dressed herself at the end of the day and was running around laughing when I picked her up.

Vivian refused to eat her dinner at the table tonight. She eventually came over and sat by me to eat but I just wasn't up for the fight. She was eating a very healthy dinner so I figured a night on the counter was an acceptable trade off occasionally.

Vivian is very into the Fancy Nancy books these days. That means she has started using words like "posh" "darling" and "oh la la." This girl.

Day Off

Victor is out of town tonight so I decided Vivian and I would have a break from our usual week days of rushing to make dinner, eat, bathe, and get to bed early. It was so fun! Definitely not a daily routine type of day but a fun break. We ate ice cream right after school/work.

She wanted pink with sprinkles - and ate the ENTIRE thing!

Some pre-teen boys were outside trying to talk to girls. Vivian was fascinated - and kept laughing at them.

Then she fell in love with this fountain. I had to help her walk around the wall-edge singing Love is an Open Door from probably 15 minutes. We sang a duet. I thought about teaching her You are 16 but it seemed like too much trouble. And I like singing duets with her.

Then we found a splash pad I didn't know existed. It was great!! I think it will become a regular weekend visit site. I didn't have a swim suit but she didn't mind just playing in her diaper.

She was so worn out from today that she went straight to sleep with no fussing at all! Woo hoo!

Sometimes when I ask Vivian if she needs help with something she says "I can do it, I'm the best."

We always cheer when she uses the potty. Now she gets off it and says "woo hoo Rosie!" Cheering herself on. 

Zoo day

In the summer the zoo opens at 8 am which is fantastic in a house with an early riser! Victor had to work today so Vivian and I woke up, grabbed some breakfast and went to the zoo. It's relatively cool today and cloudy so perfect zoo day. When we arrived around 8:20 there were less than 20 cars but when we left a little after 12 they were in the over over flow lots! Many many people. Another good thing about the early morning is that the animals are more active. When we initially arrived we saw animals making nests, head butting each other, eating, and chasing each other. By the time we left most were laying down resting. I'd never seen any of the animals fighting and posturing the way we did today. Lots of fun.

Chilling with the penguins. Another good thing about arriving early - we can actually get up close to see the animals without having to wait our turn.

The penguin pavilion has a cute little area that lets you pretend you are swimming with the penguins. Again, she was the only kid playing in it.

Today we splurged and went on the sky ride. It was so cool!! Totally worth the money. It will likely become a regular stop for our visits as well. She loved it and you got such a unique view of the animals. I didn't take many pictures because I was scared I would drop my phone.
