I'm in Trouble

Caitlin gently reminded me today that she has not seen a new picture of her niece in six days. I had them, I just kept forgetting to post them. 

Vivian picked out her own outfit. She loves this watergun! Anytime she finds it she shoots me even in 60 degree weather. I just refuse to refill it and pretend she's getting me wet.

Haircut #2

Vivian's hair grows slooowly. Her last cut was almost a year ago. We decided it was time to get her a little trim again. She initiated when she saw an episode of Dora when Boots had to get his hair cut. Since then she has been asking to get hers cut. Honestly I was nervous she would get in the chair and freak it but she was so good!! She didn't like the blow dryers and she side-eyed the woman next to her getting highlights but generally she was very well behaved. She asked to get her hair colored blue and mine pink so I'm going to try and find some temporary hair mascara (do they still make that) in the halloween aisle and we will color strips of our hair.

Afternoon with Daddy

Victor picked up Vivian today so I could go to an after work activity. Vivian always gets to do fun things with daddy that mommy doesn't let her do like..

Walk in the creek in front of our house (mommy can't do this based on the likelihood a gamma ray fueled snake would attack her. Seriously. I always have an escape plan to find the easiest way to grab Vivian and run)

Then they sat outside and read (I would let her do that.)

Then she had ramen and peas for dinner (not a fan of Ramen. But she's so funny eating them.)

First Dentist Appointment

Today Vivian had her first dentist appointment. Things didn't start well. She was up for a long time last night so she slept in. On the weekend that would be great. But she never sleeps in on the weekends. Never. The kid rarely sleeps through the night but she is the dickens to wake up! This is with the lights on and me talking to her to wake her up.

Happily she was in a good mood once we got to the dentist. She insisted on wearing a princess nightgown as a dress but... I pick my battles. The office had a sea theme which she loved.

They even had a slide!! What dentist office has a slide?! Mine just had old Highlights.
