Blue Jeans

Just try and tell me Vivian in fitted jeans is not the cutest thing you've seen today. She hates them so they are just her spare outfit at daycare. But just love when she has to wear them. She looks so cute!! These are from Friday. She was sick this weekend. I'll post some sickie pictures later.

Carrying the basket at the grocery store. She is definitely getting better at walking with me at the store instead of running like a wild beast.

Her new favorite game - "rolling" the snow then eating it off the roller. I keep waiting for her tongue to stick to the metal. Hasn't happened so far.

Nothing Big

I couldn't get any good pictures of Vivian today but I knew I'd hear about it if I didn't post for a few days.

This is what I get for turning on Monsters University. I've been saying her name repeatedly and she's still ignoring me.

Activities

Yesterday I tried another activity with Vivian. I'm happy to report this one actually went well! I've been trying a bunch of the "make it all yourself at home with no mess and it will entertain your child for hours!" pins from Pinterest. They are always messy and she never likes them for more than five minutes. If even that. This activity actually was easy to make and was so cool. It's homemade puffy paint. I'll put the link at the bottom. But basically you mix flour, salt, food coloring, and a tiny bit of water. Then use Q-tips to make your drawing and microwave for 30 seconds when finished. I don't even like coloring and I loved this paint. It was very therapeutic.

Here are the finished pictures. The green one is a superhero. Blue was for daddy. Black for Vivian. Bottom right is for Mimi (according to Vivian it is a picture of Papa, Caiti, a monster, and a chicken.) Bottom right is Mikey and Sulley.

Another Snow Day

Daycare was closed again today due to illness. Today was a rough one. I don't know what the difference was… other than that two year olds have more personalities than the ocean has fish.

My first attempt to entertain her was by building a fort. But I didn't build it the way she wanted or with the blanket she wanted. Sadly the blanket she wanted wasn't big enough to build a fort. So I then had to put it away.

Then I let her help me make a stew that has to simmer all day. She proceeded to throw the carrot shavings on the floor and flour all over the countertops.

Then she ate popcorn and watch Super Why. So that was a quiet 24 minutes.

And Fungooms for another 3 minutes

Then she took a 35 minute bath and I love it!

Weekend Randoms

This photo is from Thursday - I just think it's cute

Today was a frigid yucky day. So I tried to think of different activities to do with Vivian to expend some of her energy short of making her run laps on the steps.

First she washed the waffle iron.

Then I let her destroy the gingerbread house. This seriously entertained her for about 30 minutes. Totally worth the money I spent on the set.

I must have done a good job because I had to wake her up from her nap. She's so funny when woke up. She's like a cranky teenager.

Then she drank some coffee (hot chocolate)

Then she took a 20 minute shower and checked herself out in her new bathrobe.
